    Prescott’s trail system is quite impressive for a town of its size. The Mile High Trail System is comprised of 68 miles of trails! These include Rails-to-Trails projects along the old Santa Fe Railroad, the Greenways Trails System, and the Prescott Circle Trail System. The Prescott Circle Trail is continually growing and will eventually surround all of Prescott. The Greenways Trails are more urban and run along Granite and Miller Creek before cutting through downtown Prescott. If your family likes to bike, you’ll surely be outdoors more often than not!

    There are plenty of nature preserves around Prescott, so if your family is a bunch of nature lovers, you won’t be disappointed! The Community Nature Center is open seven days a week and has 1.5 miles of trails for walking, birding, and nature studies. The Habitat Garden has 25 species of native plants while the Hardyville Road Exhibit is perfect for history lovers. One of the only nature-based community centers in the region, it has a variety of programs for kids and adults to help educate them about their town’s biology and geography.

    Every adult needs a day out without the kids, and you can’t call yourself an Arizona resident without golfing a couple of times a year! With 36 holes and one of the best views around town, you’re sure to be challenged regardless of your skill level. If you aren’t all that confident, book a couple of lessons with one of three skilled instructors. After your game, enjoy a tasty meal at the Manzanita Grill overlooking the picturesque Bradshaw Mountains.
